"The Master"


Albert Belasco, born 1938 in London. He studied at the Royal Academy of Art, and his early work was soon to be seen in enormously sucessful exhibitions in London, New York, Frankfurt, Barcelona and the Canary Island which started the experts and gained him a reputation in the international community of art-lovers.

Belasco may be seen as a young master of the old italian art of oil painting. One can tell from the loving, gentle stroke of the brush. Leonardo da Vinci had a great influence on his work. Belasco was sponsored by Curt Reich since 1976 and is one of the most important representatives of his genre. Belasco paintings sell worldwide to a prize up to 70.000 USD.

Belasco is the founder of a style named Magic Romanticism. His favourite themes being stories from the celtic and greek mythology. He feels deeply influenced by the music of Richard Wagner, and he has a solid, expert knowledge both of the great composer himself and his famous patron, the Bavarian King Ludwig IV.

For almost 20 years, Belasco had his own studio in Villa Reich, the residence of his sponsor Curt Reich in Baden-Baden. The artist has returned to Great Britain meanwhile. He lives and works exclusively in London. Due to personal circumstances, Albert Belasco may not be able to produce many more of his beautiful, celebrated masterpieces. Those depicted here are yet available. They could be the much adored legacy of an innocent mind and a talent so great that their creator's name's immortality is unquestioned and has long been earned.
